Freezone.com is pleased to announce that they will be offering Xboxes, normally $400, at a 75% discount as of June 15th, 2007.

As a special promotional offer for its sponsors, www.freezone.com will, for a limited time, be offering Xboxes for $100 to individuals who participate in promotions from the sponsor’s website.

With a variety of large sponsors like Blockbuster Online, Best Buy, Disney and Home Depot in addition to everyday merchants all offering special reduced prices and offers, it’s even easier to complete and get the most popular game console on the market at a reduced price.

There are over three pages with different offers to choose from, many being special pricing and/or free trials, so customers won’t have any problem finding products they’d like to try or entertain.

Those offers that do require purchases are, on average, discounted around 30% bringing rare savings to consumers through this limited time offer.

Rather than spending money to convince viewers to visit sponsors’ pages, www.freezone.com has compiled them all in a neat set of pages for viewers’ easy access.

Offers change daily, so viewers can check back daily if they want to do some of the first offers they see, but want to have different ones to finish. “Sponsors are joining at such a fast rate, we are in the process of creating a new sleek website that will have a lot more functionality (Web 2.0), we are exciting about re-launching later in the year!” says Valli Kosuru of Free Zone.

Following the style American Express, they are designed to provide great deals on a variety of products in the context of many incentivized promotions.

Unlike American Express, consumers do not have to purchase each time, making the process faster and easier to complete.

Free Zone is in beta now on www.freezonerewards.com which offers a choice between several different major electronic gadgets or other products absolutely free, the xbox 360 being one of them.

Many customers would prefer to have to fill out fewer offers and get the final product at a discount rather than free of charge.

It is the company’s hope that offering the xbox in this way will accommodate those who’d rather not go through the loyalty and rewards program and www.freezone.com.

To be successful on the BSCI exam and in earning your CCNP, you’ve got to master route redistribution. This isn’t as easy as it sounds, because configuring route redistribution is only half the battle. Whether it’s on an exam or in a real-world production network, you’ve got to identify possible points of trouble before you configure route redistribution – and you need to be able to control redistribution as well. You may have an OSPF domain with 100 routes, but only need to redistribute 10 of them into a neighboring RIPv2 domain. You’ve got to know how to do that, and one method is the use of a distribute-list.

A distribute-list is an access-list that is used to determine what routes can and cannot be redistributed. Distribute-lists let you specify what routes will be filtered from the process. You can use standard or extended ACLs, and you can filter routes that are coming into a routing process or being injected into another process.

In the following example, R1 is redistributing RIP routes into OSPF, but only wants to advertise network 150.1.1.0 /24 to other OSPF routers. An ACL will be written to match that particular network, and then the distribute-list will be written under the routing process. I’m going to show you the IOS Help output for the distribute-list command, and please note that routing updates can be controlled at the interface level or protocol level.

R1(config)#access-list 24 permit 150.1.1.0 0.0.0.255

R1(config)#router ospf 1

R1(config-router)#redistribute rip subnets

R1(config-router)#distribute-list 24 ?

in Filter incoming routing updates

out Filter outgoing routing updates

R1(config-router)#distribute-list 11 out ?

Async Async interface

BRI ISDN Basic Rate Interface

BVI Bridge-Group Virtual Interface

CTunnel CTunnel interface

Dialer Dialer interface

Ethernet IEEE 802.3

Lex Lex interface

Loopback Loopback interface

Multilink Multilink-group interface

Null Null interface

Serial Serial

Tunnel Tunnel interface

Vif PGM Multicast Host interface

Virtual-Template Virtual Template interface

Virtual-TokenRing Virtual TokenRing

bgp Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)

connected Connected

egp Exterior Gateway Protocol (EGP)

eigrp Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP)

igrp Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (IGRP)

ospf Open Shortest Path First (OSPF)

rip Routing Information Protocol (RIP)

static Static routes

R1(config-router)#distribute-list 11 out rip

Using distribute-lists does guard against routing loops, but they have other purposes. You may have a network segment that should be kept secret from the rest of your company; a distribute-list can filter that segment’s network number from the redistribution process. In this way, distribute-lists serve as a basic form of network security. (Very basic. I wouldn’t sell that firewall on ebay if I were you.)

Keeping such networks out of routing updates and routing tables throughout the network has the side effect of reducing routing update overhead as well.

Prepaid international calling cards are what you will find inmost store selling calling cards. These have a certain amount of money on them and you slowly use it up as you make phone calls.

I used these to calmly parents when I went to Acapulco in college. Now the one problem is that some will warn you how much money you have left on them before you call and some will tell you after. The bad ones are the ones that don’t and you are simply cut off in the middle of a conversation without warning. Also I don’t know about you but I have a hard time keeping track of how long I have talked when I am on the phone. I find that 9 times out of ten I go over and get cut off because I am not really paying attention to how much tome I have.

Since moving to Venezuela I discovered something even better than repaid international calling cards. I have a cell phone here that lets me text message internationally for a fairly cheap price. Now I simply text message my parents or friends when I want them to call me and they do. It is much cheaper this way, at least for me and much more convenient because I can tell them when is a good time to call.

When I left I thought I was going to be sending a lot of money on prepaid international calling cards. However since I got here I have not spent one dime. I know that phone service here is pretty expensive so people do not make phone calls on a regular basis. For this reason I revel in my text messaging capabilities.

The argument as to whether video games are good or not is perhaps one of the hottest debates today. There are smart, well-educated, well-meaning people on each side of the debate.

As a non-gamer, I have an interesting perspective bring to the discussion – I’m a non-gamer who views video games favorably. Why? Allow me to explain.

Probably the largest complaint against video games is that they encourage violence. Perhaps they do. But I think that they are only a part of the picture. Playing a shooting game on your computer does not and can not by itself create a murderer. There are many other factors involved. In my experience, the gamers that I know are certainly not violent.

I believe that playing violent video games may increase violence only if and when other factors are present. I feel the same about violent movies, which I generally do not mind. Take, for example, Gladiator or The Patriot, both R rated for violence. After watching those movies, I had an increased hatred of un-needed violence. They did not make me violent. Instead, they re-enforced my belief that cruelty is wrong, and violence should be avoided if possible.

Another argument against computer and video games is that they are sedentary. Kids who play them often end up overweight, lazy, and unskilled in other ares of life. Well, that may have some truth in it, but that can be said about lot’s of things – including a desk job! I believe that the key is balance and moderation. Just as running marathon every other day would be detrimental to your health, so is playing too many video games.

Before I close, let me explain why I am a non-gamer – it’s because I’d rather go hunting or fishing that play a game about hunting, shooting, fishing, etc.

Electronic data interchange (EDI), as the name implies, is a method of electronic information exchange between two business entities. It involves the usage of computer networks and related software to transmit information related to businesses. EDI is an efficient method of decreasing costs, overheads and errors that commonly occur during business transactions. Additionally, business information between partners can easily be interchanged. Apart from information exchange, EDI helps in coordinating business transactions by performing tasks such as invoice generation and initiating delivery orders.

EDI is basically a subset of electronic commerce. While electronic commerce includes all the facets of electronic business interaction such as money transfers, person-to-person interaction and information sharing, EDI involves only the exchange of business information. The information is passed in the form of messages. Each message contains a basic information unit called a data element. A single message may contain more than one data element. These data elements form a compound document that corresponds to a business form. A field definition table containing information on the data elements is also included in the EDI message.

EDI was first used by the automobile industry during the 1970’s. This system was then gradually adopted by other industries such as manufacturing, finance, healthcare, retail and shipping. The earlier EDI systems were operated on private company networks. Electronic data interchange is now increasingly done using the Internet. Even the open standard XML format is utilized for information exchange. Additionally, the older standard data entry forms are being replaced with custom designed interfaces. Special programming tools are provided so that companies can define their own interface.

Large corporations usually tend to build their own proprietary EDI systems. Small organizations have the option of utilizing the services of a VAN (value added network) provider. These providers act as third-party members in business transactions by providing transaction services, security, communication protocols and other services needed for an EDI system. Some VAN providers even offer the network required to implement the system.

Notebook battery life is an important for the mobile computer user. There’s nothing worse than really needing to access you notebook only to have it switch off due to low battery. There are certain things that can help to prolong battery life.

The first thing to consider would be the conditioning of the battery. More namely your charging habits. The worst thing you can do for your notebook battery is always keep it on the charger or charge it while it’s only half full. This will diminish the life of the battery giving you less hours of operating time. The ideal way to charge your notebook battery would be to use it until it is completely dead and then charge it fully.

The second issue to consider would be your usage habits. Using multimedia such as movies and music will kill your battery a lot quicker. Especially doing operations that are CPU intensive. Playing games will diminish your power supply a lot quicker than say, browsing the internet.

There are also different settings that can help preserve your battery life. Windows has different functions for notebooks. For instance you can set your power usage depending on what you are doing. You can set your notebook to act like a desktop if you are near a power supply to get the full performance out of your system. On the other hand you can also set it to use power as efficiently as possible if you are on the move. These setting change things such as the amount of power the CPU uses, the brightness of the screen and so forth.

In the end it’s up-to the individual user. Some notebooks come with the option of a second battery which can double the power your notebook has at your disposal but this is often costly. Also there are more advanced batteries that can be used but again they will cost you extra.

To pass the BSCI exam and become a CCNP, you have to be aware of the proper use of passive interfaces. You learned about passive interfaces in your CCNA studies, but here we’ll review the basic concept and clear up one misconception regarding passive interfaces and OSPF.

Configuring an interface as passive will still allow the interface to receive routing updates, but the interface will no longer transmit them. While the command itself would make you think this command will be applied at the interface level, that is not the case. Below, we’ll configure ethernet0 as a RIP passive interface.

R1(config)#router rip

R1(config-router)#passive-interface ethernet0

Ethernet0 will no longer send RIP routing updates, but will accept them.

The passive interface concept is clear enough with RIP, IGRP, and EIGRP – all protocols that send routing update packets. But OSPF doesn’t send routing update packets – OSPF sends link state advertisements. It’s the inability of the passive interface command to stop LSAs that lead many to think that passive interfaces cannot be used with OSPF.

Even though OSPF does not sent “routing updates” in the form that RIP, IGRP, and EIGRP do, you can still configure an OSPF-enabled interface as passive in order to prevent OSPF traffic from exiting or entering that interface. No OSPF adjacency can be formed if one of the interfaces involved is a passive interface, and if you configure an OSPF-enabled interface as passive where an adjacency already exists, the adjacency will drop almost immediately.

Let’s see that in action. R1 and R2 have an existing OSPF adjacency over their Ethernet interfaces. In an effort to reduce routing traffic, R1′s e0 interface is configured as passive. The adjacency drops right away.

R1(config)#router ospf 1

R1(config-router)#passive-interface ethernet0

18:31:11: %OSPF-5-ADJCHG: Process 1, Nbr 2.2.2.2 on Ethernet0 from FULL to DOWN, Neighbor Down: Interface down or detached

Knowing how to use the passive interface command is a vital part of being a CCNP, and of being a master networker. Good luck to you in both of these pursuits!

Though Complementary prepaid phone calling cards are very liable , consumers need to be cautious of fraudulent offers. As mentioned beforehand, the prepaid calling card marketplace is a crammed market. In other words, in order to be successful in this business, prepaid card providers need to focus on achieving price leadership. However, some of these so-called providers subordinate their offers by lowering the quality of their calling cards. Quality-sensuous consumers need to spend a large amount of time to avoid fall into this clinch. But, when they find a truly good deal, consumers can looking forward to saving as much as 38% on their house phone bills.

Now, if you are expectant to make a few long distance calls every week, then you somewhat have two options: You can either find oneself rich enough to be able to pay your phone bills, or you can use an Interchangeable prepaid phone calling card. The Internet is one of the utmost and influential technologies in the history. Howsoever, the Internet has yet to wholly solve the need for harmonious communications. That’s where prepaid international calling cards come in. Phone cards are much cheaper than some of the phone companies out there. Plus, companies realize that an International calling card moocher is more price sensuous, so consumers are lesser likely to end up paying extra. Hence, phone card service providers evermore assay to lower their costs and predicament those savings to their customers. Also, the Internet has made using prepaid phone cards easier than before. Some phone card service providers offer pin-less services, which makes using prepaid cards more acceptable.

Integral of the issues that almost everyone has to assort with these days is what is called the cost of communication. Almost every day we hear horrible stories about mammoth phone bills in the media. Of course, some of these stories are overwrought. Nevertheless, the deep cost of communication is very current. World-wide phone service providers charge a lot for long distance calls. These companies hyperbolize for calls to outside the U.S. For example, if someone has a colleague in Europe, and she decides to call her friend, she might end up paying 75 cents a minute for that call. That is a very high price to pay for just a mere call. And also, a lot of these so called phone service providers charge extra due to their scorch fame. That leaves the consumers in an even more aggravating circumstance. They have to pay extra for the celebrity that they helped the phone service provider build over the years.

So there you have it, no longer consumers have to take the prices that their phone service providers are proffer them. By noticing a good deal on a calling card, consumers can lower their cost of communication considerably.
